I did this piece with soft pastel and spray paint on Masonite.
This is a mixed media piece: pencil, ink, and paint done on a piece of wood. The outline of the octopus (quarterpus) is carved into the wood.
This is an oil piece, and the objective of the work was to study the way that different lights affect white objects.
Hey Manders, your work samples have a lot of variety, but i'd crop the oil painting, the background is really busy.
ReplyDeleteI like how you used the cool tones in the "quarterpus" against the warm tones in the background. Makes it stand out. I would love to see how this piece would look shot in natural light instead of using a camera flash.
